Over 100 Students, Officials hospitalized due to food poisoning in Ateneo de Davao
More than 100 students were reportedly hospitalized due to food poisoning earlier today during the SUI GENERIS: A Leader's Gathering with Fr. Joel Tabora, S.J. in Ateneo de Davao.
According to the Facebook page of student publication, Atenews, the lunch taken by the students caused the food poisoning. The victims were rushed into different hospitals in Davao: 64 reported cases of alleged food poisoning in Davao Doctors Hospital, 43 in San Pedro Hospital and 4 in Davao Medical School Foundation.
Together with the sad news, a photo of the said spoiled food was also posted in the Facebook page.
Edward Lactaoen, Associate Editor of Atenews said that he had spoken to one of the doctors and confirmed that the symptoms indeed point to food poisoning. He named Sir Rikki Enriquez who told him that

"they're awaiting lab tests on the food that was at the event to identify what specifically it was that caused it.
